Adopt a Cat
Adopting from the RSPCA is one of the best and most
responsible ways to bring an animal into your home.
Our centre remains closed, however, we still have cats looking for homes with remote adoption procedures in place to protect you, the cats and our staff.
If you wish to adopt a cat from our centre, please view the cats available for adoption below.
Once you find a cat that you would like to adopt, call our centre for further details. We will discuss with you the cat’s needs, as well as yours. This helps us to ensure that you and your pet are an ideal match. You will be asked to complete an adoption form, a Covid-19 questionnaire and a virtual home check will be arranged to ensure that the cat chosen is a perfect match. A video of the cat may also be available.
If all goes well, a reserve will be put on your chosen cat and arrangements made for payment and finally a date to collect your new friend.

Nutmeg & Basil are finding it a bit harder to accept human company so far. Basil still needs a bit more time to be convinced we are trustworthy, so we just sit quietly with him, and he settles down to sleep. Nutmeg will stay while we talk to her, but she's not ready for contact yet. They need an adult only home, with no other cats.
Babs is the first in the group to have built enough trust to actively enjoy a fuss. When it's quiet, she'll roll around & even holds out a paw to bring you in for more. Lily's improving at her pace. She will slowly doze off in our company when we read to her, and she's getting a little curious about us. See Pickle's individual photo for more info.
Although Pickle's starting point is a little behind Lily & Babs', she's happy to stay while we sit and talk to her when her door is closed. She finds it a bit harder to cope when that saftey barrier is gone. We would like for Pickle to be homed with Lily & Babs. They are looking for an adult only home with no other cats.
Thomas is a gentle little soul who is still settling into cattery life. He enjoys the comfort and security of his bed, and really relaxes when gently fussed; he starts to roll around and nudge your hand for more. Thomas has a lot of love to give and deserves a second chance at happiness. He would best suit a quiet, adult home where he can gain in confidence and let his little personality really shine.
Anyone can rehome a rescue cat from us - what's important is matching you, and your family,
with the right cat, which will be based on their needs and yours.
